Android and Bluetooth

I’ve been maintaining a fork of the Amarino project for about a year now and have started rebuilding the entire thing from scratch.  Amarino is great for beginners but serious developers outgrow it quickly.  The rebuild has started and I’m wrapping up the Arduino sketch that works with the SoftwareSerial library.  Next I’m nuking the Gerdavax library and rebuilding the Android service side — finishing the pattern I started.  I plan to maintain at least some, if not all, compatibility with Amarino.

For now, my fork of the Amarino project, Amarino-Embed, still provides your Android app with a decent API to perform bluetooth communication (and no side-by-side app).  Check it out at https://github.com/tenaciousRas/amarino-embed.
